Ketamine-Assisted Therapy: Preparation, Support & Integration
Emerging research in psychedelic medicine has opened new conversations about mental health, healing, and the potential benefits of non-ordinary states of consciousness.
For some individuals, ketamine-assisted treatment may offer opportunities to explore emotions, patterns, and perspectives that can be difficult to access through traditional therapeutic approaches alone.
A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach
Psychedelic experiences may offer opportunities for deeper self-understanding, but they are not appropriate for everyone or at every stage of life.
My approach emphasizes thoughtful exploration, preparation, and integration rather than viewing the medicine itself as the solution.
Our work may involve exploring your curiosity, fears, hopes, intentions, and readiness for this type of experience.
Collaborative Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
I provide ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in collaboration with Trauma Healing Journeys, where ketamine is administered under the care of medical professionals.
My role is to provide therapeutic support throughout the experience, helping clients approach the process with intention, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of what may emerge.
Preparation & Integration
My work may include:
-
Preparation: Exploring intentions, expectations, concerns, and readiness before a ketamine-assisted experience.
-
Therapeutic Support: Providing psychological support during ketamine-assisted sessions in collaboration with the administering medical clinic.
-
Integration: Helping clients reflect on their experiences, explore emerging insights, and consider how these may contribute to meaningful change in everyday life.
I also work with individuals who are curious about psychedelic-assisted approaches and want to thoughtfully explore whether this type of treatment may be appropriate for them.
My approach emphasizes that the medicine itself does not necessarily provide the answers. Rather, the therapeutic process can help individuals make meaning of their experiences and apply those insights toward greater self-understanding and personal growth.
Training and Professional Support
I earned certification through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute to support individuals receiving ketamine treatment under the care of a medical professional.
Within my private practice, I also work with individuals who are interested in exploring whether alternative medicine experiences may be appropriate for them, including preparation and integration support.
